Folks,

Did the plant tour yesterday to see the new boat--everything was great!

Warren Pandy is one hell of a nice guy who spent 5 hours giving us a
complete tour of the factory, we were lucky enough to meet up with Gerry
Douglas who happened to be in Florida on business--he even took us out to
lunch and we were able to really get some indepth insight into his design
philosphy of the 440.

One minor change, our hull # is 36...they had just installed the 8kw
Fisher/Panda generator and were in the process of installing the AC system
(split system--16K btu and 12K btu). As we were there, the sinks were
being installed...

Hulls 34 and 35 were ahead of us and 37 was right behind.

It was very cool to see the boat at this stage of manufacturing, home they
wash and wax before delivery! :)

It will ship to Oakland June 10, get there by 17 and commisioning will
start then...I will fly up there when the mast is stepped, I have a 1933
Cuban Silver Peso that I am going to place under the mast for good luck..I
estimate I'll be able to sail it home from Oakland to Marina del Rey the
second week of August...

I am having Allan and Linda Fields crew with me from MdR to San Diego for
the Regatta and I'm really looking forward to doing an overnight,
open-ocean voyage with them...
