[C320-list] Cabin table

Both are right. The telescoping aluminum post is just glued into the
plastic flanges, but the bond is not very good. If the glue has separated
from the anodized(?) aluminum, you can just lift the table off without
unscrewing one of the flanges. If not, you can't.
One of the very first things that happened to our boat was that the screws
ripped out of the bottom of the table. Small wood screws into particle
board seemed totally inadequate for the job, so I bought some little
bushings like Ikea uses for this job that have machine screw threads on the
inside and very coarse serrated threads on the outside. Easy to install and
much more secure.
I also added a two more hardwood supports to the seat base for when the
table is down. The originals weren't placed far enough out to support the
table where you are likely to sit.

I think Steve just needs to pull up on it a little harder. It definitely
comes off the way Mike describes it.

Your description of the table mount may be accurate for your boat,
however mine has a flange screwed into the bottom of the table into
which the telescoping rod inserts. With gentle upward pressure the
table and flange slide off the rod.

Cheers,

The only way to remove the table is to un-screw it from the leg, or to
un-bolt the leg from the cabin floor. That gives you enough room to
remove the batteries. The table top doesn't just lift off, and the
telescoping portion doesn't separate.
