[C320-list] upwind mainsail trim

On my boat, just slightly to windward...the key is to have the boom centerlined when closed-hauled...I have found that my boat stalls slightly if the boom is much higher than center upwind...again, that's just what works on mine--7..5oz main and UK Tape Drive 150%--both 3 years old...

Question for you racers out there... Going upwind, how close to the
centerline do you place the boom before starting to work on the other
mainsail controls for optimum speed and pointing? Do you initially
position the boom right on or just off the centerline or considerably
eased from that position?
