Using a brush, I applied 3 coats to each cover (1 quart). There is a noticable difference and I plan on applying another quart. In hindsight, I think spraying (as opposed to brushing or rolling) would have provided a better result. In any event, remember the product is "sound reducing" not necessarily "sound proofing".
