[C320-list] Prop Info

Orlando,
I think I need to retract my "you must be a SW guy" comment. A pone
reflecting, I remember the tour at the 320 regatta of your beautiful new
440. With all of the HW and SW that you've installed I would imagine all
you have to do is point the hand held tachometer at any one of the flat
panel monitors spread through out the boat, select the camera that is
trained on the prop (I assume this is your Kelp Cam) and read the rpm off
the gage. Recommend you do this in open water as you are right once the
prop is turning the ship will move.
Bruce

Ahhh, ok, that's how it's done....I would be afraid that the boat would
run off once the prop started turning... :)

With the optical tach, you put a piece of reflective tape on the flywheel
and point the beam ; it reads the rpms as the flywheel spins---so don't
jump
in the water.
