Len, I'm about to have my first 50hr service done. Do you know if anything
was resolved at the meeting you refer to re the access problem. I'm
wondering if I should warn the mechanic.

We're talking about the 3*Y*M30---spoke to Catalina, and they've spoken to
Jerry Douglas, head of C320 production in FL. Seems that Yanmar made a
change in "sender" lines routing (info to helm instruments) from the engine
sometime in '05 that causes the access problem on my boat, some boats before
mine, and all 320's made after mine. To remove valve cover the sender
lines (which go to engine coolant; coolant must be partially drained) must
be removed. Most engines have not yet reached 50 operating hours, so have
yet to encounter service access problem. Catalina will work on a "fix" for
my boat and all others with new model Yanmar 3YM30's. They're having a
meeting at Catalina here in L.A. Tuesday re this.
