Thanks for the explaination Allan.  I too in fact have one of these kits on my boat, but I always called it a spare parts kit.

I believe that what Peter is referring to is what Yanmar calls a "spare parts kit" that they put together in a plastic "ammo box" that is packed specific to the engine you have.  I won one of these kits at a past Rendezvous (see guys, another reason for attending Rendezvous) and keep it on the boat.  I don't remember what came with the kit originally but in the one on Sea Shadow, I keep a new set of belts (alternator and sea water pump), 1 each primary and secondary fuel filter, oil filter, air filter element, and 3 spare impellors with O-rings.  I get spare parts from Bay Shore Marine in Annapolis and I see these kits in there everytime I go in.
