[C320-list] Autopilot

We had a rep in from Raymarine five weeks ago and he essentially said the
4000 does not do a good job on our boat when on a broad reach in following
seas. Part of this is due to the hull design of our boat (beam carried
aft). Of course, if we purchase the higher 6000 model with the gyro option,
things get much better!

Subject: Re: [C320-list] Autopilot
This is my first Raymarine Autohelm (4000). I've had several Simrad &
Robertson autopilots but the setup are different. My question is when I
go to a
reach especially a broad reach the autopilot drift to much. What is the
best
way to correct for the reaching? And can it be done without sucking to much
juice out of the battery? Thanks JOHN
PS: Pointing to weather the autopilot works pretty good.
