Hi Jeff
Do I read the 2 lines below:

Brown Data OUT wire from Garmin  --->  To Raymarine NMEA +
*GROUND wire* from Garmin cable    --->  To Raymarine NMEA -.
----------------------------------------------------------
to mean that the *"12v" GROUND wire* from the Garmin ---> to Raymarine
NMEA???????
