Hi Jim,

I can answer your first two questions:

1) The little notch at the end of the dip stick is the full mark. Note it should be measured with the cap NOT screwed down, but resting on top of the threads. I believe the transmission holds .3L of oil.

2) No glow plug (pre heat) on the yanmar--
