[C320-list] iPod

Question for audiophiles: My AM/FM/CD unit has failed. I have good speakers and I only wish to play my iPod through existing speakers. What sort of electronic device should I place between the iPod and the speakers? A 12v amplifier? Can anyone suggest an inexpensive solution?
