I don't know what size is the current vent hose from the holding tank; but, when I get to do this hose replacement, I'll look to installing about a 1" hose for the vent.  Most vent hoses for holding tanks are too small to promote the kind of air exchange needed to support aerobic bacteria in the tank, especially if the boat is left unused for weeks at a time.
