Look at this to see if it explains your 'chin guard'.

Subject: [C320-list] spinnaker question

Just acquired a 320 with an asymmetrical spinnaker in a chute scoop.

As a symmetrical spinnaker flyer, I don't understand some of the fittings
and control lines on this thing.

At the tack there is a plastic C-shaped item that looks like a chin guard.
Assume this attaches to the bow somewhere, but where? On the pulpit?

There is also a contraption made up on three lines tied together, maybe
three feet in length each with a fairly substancial block on the end of each
one. Looks like a three legged X. What is this for?

Also, is it customary to rig both a sheet and a guy, maybe two sheets is the
correct definition, or just one if you will be on a long run?

Any web site out there that shows rigging diagrams on the asymmetrical?

Thanks, Jim
