[C320-list] Fuel kill switch Yanmar

It may be the tension on the wire. To check it, take off the front cover to
the engine. The wire from the kill switch is on the left hand side and is
locked in place by a screw. To ensure you have the right wire, someone can
tug on the kill switch and you should see it move. If the problem is the
tension, it is likely that the screw has become loose and the wire lost its
tension and fed back somewhat. It does not have to move far to make it
inoperable.

Simply loosen the screw further, pull through the wire to the appropriate
tension (with the kill switch in the down position) and retighten. Good
luck.

As a sidebar, I took a Yanmar class recently and the instructor recommended
lubricating the kill switch wire annually. Essentially, you have to pull
through the entire wire through the housing, lubricate it and feed it back.
I started this process and after soon realizing that it may be quite
difficult (if not impossible) to force the wire back through the covering
all the way back to the engine, abandoned the project. I suppose worse case
scenario is that the corrosion snaps the wire and will just have to get a
new one installed. In the interim, to kill the engine, will only need to do
it from where the wire connects to the engine.
