[C320-list] Honda 200 generator - battery charger?

FYI ...... I also have the Honda eu2000i generator and a Mermaid Marine Air 12,000 btu A/C unit on my Gemini 105MC. The Honda generator starts and runs the A/C just fine and we use it often here in hot So Florida. The Honda has an 'eco-throttle' setting which allows it to run at a slower, more economical speed. It automatically speeds up when a load is sensed, such as the A/C compressor kicking on. This 'eco' setting usually works fine as the A/C compressor cycles on and off but sometimes the Honda seems unable to speed up quickly enough to start the compressor and the overload light comes on. However, at the 'normal' speed setting, the Honda generator never has a problem handling the load. I get about 6 hours run time per tank of gas using the standard setting and 8+ hours using 'eco-throttle'. This is in 90-95 degree, high humidity conditions.

  1. Using the Honda 2000 (not 200?) generator is as simple as plugging the
shore power cable into a suitable adapter.

  2. It will run the battery charger, microwave, and our little 100W inverter
(used for the LCD/DVD/TV) plus other small appliances. It will not start a
  12,000 BTU A/C however.

  3. I don't know how long it will take to recharge as I have only used ours
twice and did not run it long enough to come up to full charge.

Ours, purchased in 6/2006, is for sale. Contact me off-line if interested.

Having read previous posts on the wonders of the Honda 2000 charger, I am
considering getting one. I have some naive questions though:
  1. How do you hook it up...is it as simple as plugging the shore cable in
  (with suitable plug adaptor)?
  2. Will the output of the 2000 watt model be sufficient to run my 30 amp
  battery charger?
  3. If so, how long would I likely need to run the genrator to recharge a
typical day's power consumption (running fridge, some lights at night,
  portable DVD player, radio?
  Thanks,
