Allan,
Just off the top, I thought the proper torque was something like 105 foot pounds. If that is the case, 235 pounds might tear the bolts right out of the keel. You might want to check your source.

Warren - The proper torque for the keel bolts is 235 foot pounds. The boat
must be out of the water with at least 70% of its weight supported by the
keel. The Association has the torque wrench, socket and extension bars as
part of the loaner program.
