I have found PUMPQGENTS.COM to be a good source for parts. This spring I
found that one of the welds that holds the motor mounting bracket to the pump
housing had broken. I was able to purchase a new motor mount for $25.00 and was
able to repair the pump.

I agree.. this is a heavy-duty user servicable pump. The pump casing is only
held together by four screws and then you loosen the lock screw on the moter
shaft cam to open it up.

This is something you should learn to do anyway as it could be neccessary to
know how to clear the pump if you are taking on water away from the dock.
This is often the time when trash gets sucke up as well. As noted before a
screen is a good idea.
