One other comment -- I also have an older hull (#108).  I found that, even thought the light is out, the bulb may be OK.  Once you pry off the cap, try cleaning the contacts and putting the same bulb back in.  I found this works almost every time and have yet to need to replace a bulb.  One one occasion, I also had to remove the two screws that hold the unit in place and then clean the wire contacts.  I believe you can examine the bulb to look for broken filaments to be sure it is actually a bad bulb.
