The are already selling the digital, LCD sets, the dust has settled...if you don't want to buy a new TV, the convertor box will be needed....it's all quite simple..

I have considered a TV onboard, but am waiting for the 'dust' from the  
analog to digital conversion to settle.
The FCC has authorized analog TV broadcasting to be discontinued on  
February 17th, 2009.
If your TV is used primarily for movies, no problem.  If you use it  
for live (analog) TV, problem.
You'll either have to go to satellite, or obtain some sort of  
converter box, same issue at home.
