[C320-list] Using a 110 jib on the cabin top track

Others have said that the cabin track is too far inboard and causes the jib to backwind the main. I've used it occasionally, with good results, when the wind gets up to maybe 15+ true and I want to furl down to about 100% (the clew is just forward of the upper shrouds when sheeted in). I run a sheet between the forward and upper shrouds, thru a block on the cabin track, down to the block on the standard jib track, and back to the turning block. I don't know if I'd lose too much speed to race with this rig, but it allows me to balance the boat in higher wind ranges.

Anyone have success with using a working jib on the cabin top
track.....pointing? fairlead? What windspeed calls for this.....assuming you already have a
  single reef in.......thanks
