Herb

My breaker doesn't trip the switch simply does not work.

Ok I will just buy one and do the nasty job. Cause I hate the dirty bilge it is causing since I only pump it when I'm on the boat.

Thanks

Rick,
Yes I recently replaced mine because I thought it was defective, turned out the connections to the pump itself had failed. I had replaced the pump itself last year and iI guess I did not do a very good job with the connections and something I placed in that area must have disrupted the connections. My symptoms were that every time the float switch activated it would trip the circuit breaker at the panel. I wrongly thought it was a bad float switch and replaced it. Not a terrible job, but iI have easier, don't like working in the bilge. One point of caution, my original set up was with water proof connections which I removed by mistake, now I'll have to redo them. Hardest part was getting the screw back in as the replacement switch, same company, had slightly reconfigured.
The simple answer to your question is that the breaker is at the panel, no inline fuse.
Sincerely,
Sincerely,
