Nick, how about coating the contacts with a conducting lubricant after first
getting them clean? I use a spray can of electrical cleaner at the end of
each season and spray all my connections: electrical and electronic. It's
highly volatile, evaporates quickly. Never have a problem. Just be sure
the lubricant will conduct electricity. Many are dielectric and act like
insulation.

Subject: [C320-list] Corroded electronics plugs

Our radar is not working and I think it is because the plug has mild
corrosion. We have to unplug it and take it in after sailing and despite
putting plastic on it, it has some greenish corosion. All electronics folks
we've contacted grimace at replacing the plug. Does anyone know a way to
get the corrosion off other than using a fine wire to scrape at it?
