[C320-list] C320.......air conditioning

We've thought of A/C; haven't jumped yet.  As I follow this thread, I  
have some questions of my own.
Doesn't the Honda 2000 generator make about as much noise as the A/C  
units in question?
How long does a tank of generator fuel last when running such an A/C  
unit?  Overnight?
Why use a generator at all, unless you're on a mooring?
