Tim,
Before you remove it I would disconnect the wire from the load side and then try the circuit breaker. If it still trips then you should replace the breaker. If it doesn't then you need to find the short in your wiring harness.

Seems I have a faulty circuit breaker in my main panel. It will not stay on even without any of the switches on or drawing current. Not an electrician but this tells me the breaker is at fault and not one of the circuits. So, does anyone know how to get these out and replace them? Looks like it's siliconed in but it does rotate and I'm not sure how to remove. Any words of wisdom?
