[C320-list] Mud Daubers

We are cursed by the same little buggers here. They leave a nasty brown
stain on the sail that is very hard to clean.
I have been having good luck with a spider spray that I spay on the folded
(or rolled) sail after each use. A shot in the sail track is good too. I
started using it to kill spiders but it seems to keep the mud daubers away
to. I have been doing this for about 15 years on various Catalinas and have
seen no sail damage.

Subject: [C320-list] Mud Daubers
In my part of the country, we have a serious problem with mud daubers (huge
wasps that build their mud houses just about anywhere). One of their
favorite places is under the cover of the main sail cover on the sail
itself. The
dryer sheet Bounce works well, with a strip placed thru each grommet and
clasp of the cover. On my sail that is 16 strips.
Although the strips work okay, it takes a good while to put all 16 on the
cover. Does anybody have a suggestion as to what will keep these creatures
off
my sail that might be a bit easier and take less time to use?
Thanks,
Bert
