There's still snow on the ground here in West Michigan, but I'm trying to
wire a GPS and an ICOM Command mike into my pedestal. The GPS has NMEA
wiring to go to both the auto-pilot and back to the radio in the cabin.
The command mike has a dedicated cable that also needs to go back to the VHF
radio in the main cabin. My question is how best to run the wires. I
opened up both the Raytheon instrument Navpod and the main engine control
and there is no way to get any additional wiring through the instrument
panel or the port side of the pedestal guard. However, I noticed that there
was not a hole drilled on the starboard side of the pedestal guard at the
base.
Any suggestions? Should I lift up the pedestal guard and drill another
hole?
