[C320-list] Garmin registration issue

I recently purchased a Garmin 545 on eBay that was advertised as new.  When
I tried to register the unit with Garmin I was told it was already
registered and contacted them to find out what the problem was.   It
appeared to me the unit was, in fact, new and had the original wrappings. I
faxed some paperwork to a Garmin software support person and am waiting for
a response.  Apparently Garmin has been having some issues with online
auctions.  While waiting, I am curious if anyone else on the forum has had a
similar experience and what the results were.  Did Garmin change the
registration to your name?  Was the warranty still in tact? Any other
issues?
