I drilled into the right side where there were no previous cables. If you drill where there
are cables already, you will have to be really careful I guess.

Paul,
How did you drill into the pedestal without hitting cables that are already
in there??

I drilled into the pedestal, routed the cable through the pedestal and then
ran a new
cable from the main power panel with its own breaker.
Install a rubber grometin the pedestal to protect the cable.

I'm planning to install a GPS unit on the pedestal of Stargazer. What is
the best way to route the power cable? Where is the nearest/simplest power
source? Ideas and experiences appreciated.
Thanks,
