Check out the pink "DOW RV Antifreeze" sold at Wallyworld for about $4.
It contains Polypropylene Glycol and rust/corrosion inhibitors.

Also be aware that some of the toxic engine antifreezes are pink and
unfortunately placed on shelves next to the safe stuff. I have seen reports
of people putting the wrong "pink stuff" in their tanks.

Dave - The Ace stuff does not have corrosion inhibitors. And you are right,
we are only talking about the raw water side here. - Allan

Allen

I saw you posting about the "pink" stuff from Ace Hardware not being
acceptable for use for engine. I assume the you mean not for use on
the heat exchanger side of the engine and not the "internal cooling"
loop where you would use standard automotive type antifreeze. Since
the Ace stuff is acceptable for the fresh water system what is it
about the make up of this that does not make it acceptable to flush
the raw water side of the engine.
