[C320-list] Looking to sail in SF

Was in San Diego on the sub base recently but that was for a day. Last year
on a ship landing in San Diego from Pearl and had two hours to catch flight.

Base at Panama City Beach, NSA and Yokosuka were quite good. Did seven days
at Yokosuka last January.

I have been told mine sweepers have the worst food, subs the best. I have
done two DDG's and one bases and visited two bases.

Take the trip to Japan. It should be great fun. Ask the crew where Thieves
alley is by the main gate to Yokosuka. An interesting emporium.......

Shore based station like PT Mugu tend to be bad. The best food is on
smaller ships. Have you helps improve SOS?

Adam if you end up in San Diego please let me know.

Cheers,

Thank you very much. My status with the Navy is an interesting one. I got
a phone call today asking if I would like to go offshore Japan instead.
Presumably a different ship. What I have learned in doing this is that it
isn't definite until I get my orders which is only about three days before
departure.

Kind of tough on my wife and kids, but as Dick Walker will tell you, it is a
lot tougher on the men and women of the Navy.

And Dick, I just got back from a brief visit to Pt. Mugu which was
unquestionably the worst food I have had in the Navy.
