[C320-list] knot meter

Does anyone have experience replacing the paddle transducer on an Autohelm
ST 50 Plus Speed package? My knot meter failed this past winter, all
functions appear to be working except it won't register speed and associated
info. When I had the bottom painted last month the knot meter worked when I
used a leaf blower to rotate the paddle wheel. It didn't work when I went
back in the water. According to Raymarine's web site, this is symptomatic
of water in the unit. Autohelm is no more, Raymarine doesn't deal with
transducers. They suggested that I contact Gemeco.com, a transducer
wholesaler. Gemeco's website is for wholesaler. I've got an e-mail into
them but I think it is a deadend.

Raymarines troublshooting site says that the ST50 transducer can be replaced
with an ST60 transducer. It requires a junction box. The parts numbers
they gave were obsolete.

I'm pretty sure the ST60 transducer is available, the big question is- *Can
I get a splice kit to connect the ST60 to my existing ST50 wiring?* There
are already so many wires and so much caulking in the pedestal tubing that
nothing else is going in or coming out.
