[C320-list] Looking at a 320 - Seeking advice and surveyor

Hello everyone,

The 320 has made my "very short list" of "next" boats. I will be traveling to Chicago to look at two of them, a 2003 and a 2004. Both are apparently in great shape, and have been fresh water all their lives. Both Yanmars have less than 200 hours.

This would be a shift for me, from a "single guy" boat to more of a "family cruiser", and I understand what I am getting into from a performance standpoint, and also understand that this is not a long range boat due to storage (wet and dry) limitations.

I know this has probably surfaced a couple of times on this list (it does on the C&C list all the time...) but I was wondering if anyone that owns these vintage boats could weigh in on what I should look for. I understand that overall this is a very well thought out design, very user friendly etc.

Warren Updike, who keeps his 320 two down gave me the low down on the smaller holding capacity, so I am good there.

Anything else I should keep my eyes peeled for? I will not be rushed and will have the entire day.

Also looking for a good surveyor in the Chicago area, if and when a decision is made....

Thanks in advance for any insight!
