Waren,
Thanks I advance for the additional work to pull it together for the mainsheat. I know your trail blazing will save some of us many hours and minimize the use of the profanisauris. I owe you a giant beer at the next 320 regatta.
Best,

None of that is necessary. The basic dimensions of the C320 haven't changed.
The upgrade is possible in the existing space. I've been asked to write this
up for the Mainsheet, and I guess I'll do that.

The secret is that the original tank in our 1994 was wider, more shallow,
and shorter. It sat on a plywood platform that is several inches off the
hull. The new tank, a Ronco B-348, 22 gal., is longer, deeper, and more
narrow than the original. I had to cut out the platform and grind down the
epoxy fillets. There are a number of "tricks" that make the project easier
and I'll include them in the project story.

It is, eminently, a DYI project; but, patience is the byword. I had to
dry-fit the tank a number of times to get the hose length right and to make
sure it all fit properly. I probably inserted and removed the tank a dozen
times before the final assembly. Hopefully, my experience will make it
easier for others. I am retired and so was able to take the time to do it in
stages.

Warren - I am interested in this upgrade: can you provide or post
specifics - or did I miss that ?

Where did the new larger tank fit ? (my 12 is in dinette seat locker,
starboard just forward of the head, and the rest of that area is chock
full o' batteries)

I can't figure out enlarging this without moving the whole house battery
install, or plumbing across the cabin to more open locker space on the
port side - both not good options.
