Yes, try put backing plates and nuts when you re-do them...

It will be a tight fit--you might have to drill all the way thru..

Dear 320 Owners List
 
Just discovered the the bolts holding the bow pulpit to the hull do not have backing
 nuts / washers.  The 1/4" bolts were simply screwed into and through the deck.
 
Discovered this when replacing forward most bolts on bow pulpit as they were sheered off.
 
Any comments please ??
