[C320-list] Rub Rail Glue?

I have hull number 246.  Sometime after they built my C320 they went to a
thicker and therefore stiffer rub rail that doesn't come out as easily.  I
had to replace mine a number of years ago and found out that by heating it
up it wasn't too difficult. Since then I have never had an issue with it
popping out again.

'Half of our port side rub rail came out of the slot during a sloppy
docking.  It wants glue to stay back in the slot.  What glue is suggested
for this?  Is Silicone strong enough?
