All,
I just want to provide a heads up on Soft Scrub. There are two C320s in
slips near mine. Both use soft scrub occasionally in the cockpit and also
on the front deck in the non skid area. I used some of the type that
doesn't have bleach in it on the smooth area around the large windows on the
sides of the cabin. I was actually using it to help remove some of the
oxidation of the gel coat in this area. When I stopped working on it I
didn't notice that some hadn't been totally washed of with the rinse water.
The next weekend that I was down I noticed two drip lines where it
apparently dribbled down one of the windows. I made a mental note to wash
it off when I left the cabin but having the attention span of a flea I
promptly forgot to do it. The next week end down the window had stress
cracks emanating from the drip lines. I would recommend that if you use
this product that you make sure that it is thoroughly removed from the
plastic windows when finished. Thanks.
