[C320-list] Propane System Brass or Bronze - Does it Matter?

Brain 

I had to rebuild the propane system on Hull #30.? I found over half of what I needed at West Marina and Fawcetts Boat Supplies in Annapolis.? The?rest I picked up at a local True Value hardware store.

I stayed?with barss throughout teh system.?Brass is?prefered.? ?Would not mix due to risk of leaks. Propane is something that I did not want leaking.??

One reason to stay with brass is that it is pretty hard to get a?spark off a brass fitting.

In the marine environment, bronze is, by far, the preferred alloy. I don't
know of anything peculiar to propane that would change that, but perhaps we
have some chemists on th elist who have greater knowledge in that arcane
area.
