Herb, if you have a store or company nearby that sells and installs home water softening/treatment equipment, these duckbills are commonly used in the pumps.
Our local guy just gave me a few.
Also this loop is a vacuum breaker to prevent a siphoning flooding the boat, so be sure to close thruhulls when finished

I found this quickly on Defender's web site by searching on the Forespar
part number. There is also a close up photo there, which shows the
"duck bill" valve -- the little rubber insert -- inserted into the cap
upside down! The correct installation has the pointy end pointing down.
