[C320-list] AC leaking

Paul,
The problem occurs from the time the A/C is switched on and takes about 20 minutes for water to begin flowing into and filling the bilge and cycling the bilge pump. I would characterize the flow rate equivalent to that of just cracking sink faucet open enough for a steady flow of running water, just above a trickle. The condensation line, situated in the aft cabin, in the same location as the A/C raw supply thru-hull and engine raw water supply thru-hull, is dripping a drop of water every 5-7 sec. and taste like fresh water. No where near the same flow rate as the water filling the bilge, which also has a salt water taste. Checked out the A/C raw supply thru-hull, the line to the raw water strainer and both sides of the strainer/connections and pump/connections and the surrounding area are dry, no leaks. I did find some pooling water I hadn't noticed before located in the port lazerette that may be from the A/C overboard outlet hose/hull interface. Plan on checking this out further. Unknown water source is not purely condensate from the A/C but definitely coming from a leak in the A/C water circulation system when under pressure.
Thanks to all for the guidance.

Rod,
I would be pretty sure that condensation is draining into the bilge when the AC is running.
The hotter and the more humid it is outside, and the longer the AC is run, the more the water will
be draining into the bilge. So my questions are: are you running the AC longer than ever before?
Is it hotter than normal? Is it more humid than before? These things make a difference.
Just ck the thru hull for the water intake for the AC -- check all the way from the thru hull to where
the water exits the boat. If no leak there, then it has to be condensation. IMHO.

The captain noticed that the bilge pump is running way more than usual when
the AC is on. It is a new problem.

Hi Peggy,
So why do you think it isn't the condensation if it is routed to the bilge.

Condensation is routed to the bilge near the intake for engine and AC.
Discharge hose is not leaking. Intake for AC only.

Where do you have your condensation routed to? Is your intake dedicated to
the a/c only. Have you checked the discharge hose going over board.
