[C320-list] 150 Race rating

I find PRHF is more of an opinion. I'm rated at 159 with. 135prct and a deep keel while another 320 with a wing keel and. 155prct is 169. Makes no sense. In western LI sound they seem to give all sorts of adjustments.

When I asked for them to explain they said he had a "cruising adjustment' for a mast mounted radar and aC unit. I said I have a mast mounted radar and they said that doesn't count. Go figure who knows.

So I basically judge myself on whether I can beat him or not. Its 50/50 depending on wind and tactical conditions.

Jerry,

The PHRF rating varies from region to region, but mine is 156 for the
Great Lakes. This is based on:

* Fin keel
* Feathering folding prop
* Standard rigging and all the cruising features of the boat. For
example do not gut the boat and put on a carbon fiber rigging.
* Sails up to 150% (which is typical)
* They do give a spinnaker and non-spinnaker rating, however I have
never raced with an organization that has used the non-spinnaker rating.

Hope this helps.

Best Regards,
Andrew
