[C320-list] Electrical and Bilge

Hello All,

Been enjoying the sailing here in the Northeast, hope you all have too.

We were away this week and two odd things happened, hopefully someone here can 
shed some light.

First, I noticed an inky black color to the bilge water but only in the area 
where the put actually is not the area just aft of that which had some clear 
water. My stuffing box needs an adjustment and eventually teflon packing (winter 
project). Could this be a hose deteriorating or what? Anyone else ever seen this 
before.

Secondly, while we were in a slip in Milford we used the shore power (normally I 
am moored). All worked fine including topping of my batteries and running a huge 
box fan all nite. Later when we got to the next harbor on our trip we were 
moored. I took out my Honda generator to run some AC devices. I hooked it all up 
and got the green AC light on the service panel but none of the outlets produced 
any power. I believe I checked to see if there was a charge going into the 
batteries and that we not working either but not positive on that, as if was 
getting late. I recall some recent threads about something similar that turned 
out to be the shore power connector. Any thoughts on this one?
