Milagro #751

1) Anchor Type	Bruce
2) Anchor Weight	36LBS
3) Chain Length	15'
4) 150' 1/2"
5) Secondary Anchor 13# Fortress set with the 30 deg mud setting (very
effective in soft mud)

Sailing area is the Gulf Coast - typical bottoms are sand, mud, soft
mud. We have had a great deal of success with the Bruce, it rides well
in the roller and retrieves well one you break it out of its set. The
Brue anchor re-sets itself very well in changing wind and tide
conditions

1) Anchor Type	DANFORTH
2) Anchor Weight	28LBS
3) Chain Length	12'
4) Warp Length	150 This depends on your sailing area.

Bruce, you should probably include the sailing area or the ave. depth
and
type of ground encountered as these are important in anchor/rode
determination. We sail strictly on the Chesapeake Bay where ave.
anchoring
depths are 6-12' and bottoms are soft mud to sand, little rock, or
grass. I
rarely put out more than 90' with ave. more like 50-60'.

Check out the Rocna anchor. I've been hearing good stuff about these. I
think PS did a review a while ago.
