[C320-list] Outhaul lost in boom

All,
Trying to make sense of all of the posts on this subject.
There seems to be some confusion as which line is to be used for what.

We use the internal floating block with the 3:1 purchase for the outhaul.

We use the straight through line as the reefing line.
