[C320-list] Trim Ballast

Hello,

 

On trim ballast in 2001 C320. 

There are 5 metal ingots glued with caulk on the starboard side behind the seat back, and 3 ingots in the stern starboard side. When the boat sits in the water, it leans noticeably to starboard. What was the thinking behind this and has anyone else had this problem? What is the best way to remove the ballast? It is in there fairly snug.
