[C320-list] upholstery snaps

Everyone, thanks for your tips - sailkote, chapstick, soap, light oil, etc.  Now maybe we can get them to hang properly.

It was a beautiful day yesterday and felt so good to board the boat in the water!  Now for the sails, bedding, galleyware, etc.  :)

Barb, All the suggestions--except steelwool--are good (Jeff needed his cup of coffee), Jane and I use a SMALL drop of light oil in the female side of the snaps once a year for all of the snaps on the boat.  The split ring inside the snap needs to open and close easily.

Hi,

The boat was splashed this week and yesterday we went there to clean out the cabin, water tanks, etc.  I found several of the salon upholstery snaps unsnapped and could not snap them.  Are there any secrets to this?  Thanks.
