[C320-list] Cabin sole Varnish on 1999 C320

When it was time to redo the sole on WindSwept, I talked to the Target
"expert". I asked if this was what Catalina was using. He sounded very
vague and later admitted that he thought Catalina was having the sole
varnished by another vendor as part of the manufacturing of the sole, and he
didn't think they were using a target product.

I decided to put on a standard floor varnish, I think it was polyurethane
and is supposed to be harder than the Target varnish and should stand up
better. It was a solvent based product though.

I had the old varnish stripped off with a chemical stripper so I wouldn't
know if there was a compatibility issue. It has held up very well after two
years.

Subject: [C320-list] Cabin sole Varnish on 1999 C320

Does anyone know the varnish used on the C320 1999 cabin sole? I know there
have been threads on these identifying target coatings, but any specifics
including where to purchase would be much appreciated. Is it the same stuff
used on the teak trim?
