Another theory, if your A/C temp is set for 72 and the outside air is
55 degrees, then the pump won't kick on. Maybe turn it to heat
and then try it.

Hi Barbara,

To my limited understanding, most A/C water pumps are not self-priming, which is 

why they are required to be installed below the waterline. They can also suffer 
from an airlock even when they are below the waterline.

Have you tried priming the system by pre-filling the hose from the antifreeze 
container to the pump with antifreeze and placing the container a foot or two 
higher than the pump before starting the sytem?
