Pettit makes a water based bottom paint that they recommend for trailerable
boats that are in and out of water. This paint is supposed to be good up to
a year out of the water without loosing its effectiveness. Pettit states
that this is the paint that Searay has used for 12 years for factory applied
bottom paint. (Go to the Pettit website and use their selector program to
see what they recommend for your location and type of use).

Subject: [C320-list] bottom paint
Gonna have the bottom done this fall and the boat will be on the trailer
until next spring so it has to be a paint that is not sensitive to the boat
being out of the water fo 5 months. Looking for opinions on bottom paints.
I'm in a fresh water lake with zebra mussels as well as all the normal algae
and stuff. I'm trying to put on a paint that will last for at least 3
seasons.
 Anyone have a favorite?
