[C320-list] foot brace

As the height of the guests vary, the tall ones can make do bracing against
the lee seats (or sitting up on the angled coaming). As a back up for a
single shorter visitor and a less radical solution than a permanent
attachment to the deck, try making a bracing block. This is a wood block
triangle 5 inches thick which has been firmly attached to a board wide
enough to accept the height, and otherwise as long, thick, and angle-cut at
the ends to duplicate the shape of the lower section of the lowest hatch
board. 

Buried in the cockpit locker until needed, this board can be retrieved and
slotted into the companionway. The short crew takes up position at the front
of the cockpit and braces one foot on this block when the need arises.
