I agree with the other guys. When I got my boat I paid for it to be moved
and re commissioned by a pro...worth every cent.

I agree with Chuck. Our boat was shipped from Georgia to Massachusetts by a
boat hauler. The mast was carried beside the boat on the trailer. We got
some chafe marks on our mast and rub-rails from not good enough padding.

Protect the mast, rigging and forestay against chafe. Also, the straps
holding boat to trailer can chafe the rubber rubrails, so watch those areas
too.

Make sure the roller furler is well supported/strapped to the mast to
prevent bends and make sure it doesn't get squashed either.

We transported our 1994 using a professional mover. The mast was on the
deck. My only advise is to be sure everything is well cushioned against
vibration and chafing. Good luck!

Fellow 320 owners, I am now the proud owner of a 1997 vintage 320 by the
name of
aypoint (432). She is currently lying in her slip at Sandusky Bay. I have
ontracted with Loadmaster to construct a new triple axle trailer on which
I
ill relocate Waypoint to her new home at Frisco Bay Marina (elev 9017') on
eautiful Dillon Reservoir in Colorado. Being a 1997 model, Waypoint has a
'10" wing keel. Are there any amongst you that have transported your boats
via
railer? If so, is there any advice you would offer on carrying the mast?
Over
he cabin top, side mount, trailer mount? I'm all ears.
